My personal interests are in the renewable energy and sustainable living fields, both in developing technologies directly, and writing about topics in this field that encourage others to develop such technologies where needed. By working with nature and applying our understanding of natural systems to develop ways to increase our ability to thrive we can develop people, planet and profit. As an example, my PhD work has resulted in businesses which transform honey from rural Africa into high value beverages and products for sale in developed first world markets.
