I have a decades-long experience as a software engineer, particularly in the mainframe sector (COBOL, JCL, DB2). I have created and modified application and component designs on a daily basis. I have also performed project coordinator roles for the development team. I perform these tasks on an independent basis with minimal or no supervision at all. I have coordinated projects with the stakeholders, especially in the Design Process. I know both Waterfall and Agile methodologies well, as I have been in projects with either of these methodologies. I have been assigned to formulate a logical database model while finding an assigned DBA, which requires critical planning and monitoring to ensure that the application teams are well aware of the updates. This project showcased my skills of good communication and collaboration between the application teams. I have been assigned as a development support analyst for a particular project. It includes doing pre-production readiness testing of all the software packages installed into weekend production, follow-up production ticket resolution with application leads, accommodating special procedure requests, planning the testing timeline, and collaborating with teammates from different workstreams.
