Bethany G.
[INACTIVE] Data Scientist | Cognitive & Quantitative Psychologist
Not currently taking new contracts as of 08/22/2024, as I've transitioning out of freelance work into a full-time position. • I'm trained in a variety of statistical analysis methods, particularly logistic regression and multilevel modeling, and can identify and implement which approach will best answer your question. • I have experience cleaning, annotating, and documenting various types of data sets. • I make my data analyses and visualizations as reproducible as possible, using tools like Quarto/R Markdown. • I have significant experience in R; medium experience in Python, Excel, Git, and MATLAB; and some experience with AWS, Docker, Linux, HTML/CSS, and Java. I also have experience reading and translating out of SPSS, SAS, and Stata. • My research work has been in cognitive psychology and and psycholinguistics. Outside of questions about language, learning, and cognition, that means my scientific training is in how to operationalize and measure abstract concepts like beliefs and behavior in a way that's clear to the researchers, the participants, and the audience. If you're a student: I'm happy to do tutoring work, and I regularly help people with the statistical programming aspect of their research projects, but I will not do homework, tests, or anything else that falls outside of standard university academic honesty policies.
