Pavel G.

Software engineer with 12+ years building distributed systems in Ruby on Rails. Specialized in high-volume real-time platforms, PostgreSQL optimization, microservice architectures, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes). Also work across the stack with React and TypeScript. Working experience with Go and GraphQL. What I deliver: • End-to-end feature development: REST APIs, PostgreSQL schemas, WebSocket channels, Sidekiq pipelines • Payment integrations (Stripe, Square), third-party API integrations (Twilio, AWS services) • Performance optimization: query profiling, caching, targeted indexing • Video processing pipelines, real-time leaderboards, content moderation systems • Clean, well-tested code with RSpec and thorough code reviews • LLM agents (Claude API): tool calling, guardrails, prompt caching, audit logging I've owned backend systems handling 80K+ daily video calls, built marketplace payment flows, and shipped 3 greenfield startups from zero to production. Comfortable in both monolithic and microservice codebases, thriving in fully remote teams. Open to Senior or Lead Software Engineer roles (worldwide remote).
