Laura Jean H.

I am passionate about editing. I love having the opportunity to take a piece of content and make it the best it can be — by fixing grammatical errors, improving style, and in general creating a piece of writing that's enjoyable for people to read. I can edit, proofread, rewrite, or optimize content about any topic you can imagine in almost no time. Do you need engaging blog posts, compelling copy, or unique rewrites (free from Copyscape matches and AI text)? I'm your freelancer! I've been writing professionally for more than 12 years (and writing in my free time for much longer). In the past few years, I've used the skills helping clients I've acquired helping clients improve their content to shift my focus into editing and optimizing content for SEO purposes. My clients are always more than satisfied with my work — as you can tell from my overwhelmingly positive reviews. Since I grew up in the UK, I am familiar with the differences between British English and US English. I also speak Spanish and Italian at a conversational level. I do translations of both languages into English. I have experience with all types content: blog posts, articles, ebooks, newsletters, webpages, press releases, bios, and white papers. I also repurpose content from videos and podcasts, edit and proofread content my clients have written themselves, and optimize content to improve SEO using tools like Yoast SEO, SEMrush, and Surfer. I specialize in topics including: - Marketing (especially digital marketing, social media, and SEO) - Health (I'm often in demand for content about CBD products, nutrition, and pharmacology) - Education (including e-learning) - Small business advice - Pets and animal health - Fitness and sports science - Hair and beauty - HVAC and plumbing - Travel - Real estate - Law - Interior design My work has appeared in publications including Forbes, LSA Insider, Marketing Bitz, Business 2 Community, and UpCity. I am familiar with various marketing and project management tools, including Slack, Hubstaff, Asana, Teamwork, Monday, Basecamp, and ClickUp. I also use Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Docs, Pages, StatsCloud, Scalenut, and Clearscope. I'm always striving to stay up to date with new digital marketing best practices. I regularly take courses on HubSpot Academy and currently have the certifications for Content Marketing, Inbound Marketing, and Social Media. I have also taken the YouTube for Bosses course. I'm currently studying for a BSc (honours) degree in Combined STEM (Biology) and have been accepted onto an MSc in Equine Science for 2025.
