**Data Engineering**: Since 2017, I’ve developed an interest in alternative financial data, building a data lake on AWS with a team from Ukraine. This allowed me to develop cloud data skills and I got AWS certified in 2019. My first data analytics project was with Speakap in Amsterdam in 2021, where I completed around 40 queries in Snowflake based on their production database log delivered in JSON format for 500K MAU (Monthly Active Users). I then moved my side project to Snowflake and have been building on it since. Through a demo of my Snowflake work, I secured a three-month project with Ayvens (formerly LeasePlan) to localize their global Data Vault modeling in Snowflake, focusing on financial and contract reporting. This project was delivered under tight deadlines, leading to additional work integrating ALD and LeasePlan data flows and modernizing the RMT (Repair, Maintenance, and Tyre) solution from Oracle to Snowflake. When Ayvens canceled its global Snowflake project, I transitioned my deliverables to Databricks and left the project by the end of last year. Currently, I’m focused on my side project in Snowflake, maximizing the platform’s capabilities with Snowflake Notebooks, Snowpark, Pandas, Snowflake ML for time series analysis, and Streamlit. I’m also exploring Git and DBT within Snowflake and can demo my work, particularly around SQL, Snowpark and Pandas. Between these projects, I worked with NBI Broadband in Dublin, helping automate weekly reporting to the SMT and board using an AWS data lake with Athena and Tableau. The challenge was reconciling reporting from two companies with different systems and definitions, ensuring consistent reporting to both the government and internally. After NBI, I worked with Vodafone Ziggo to consolidate data feeds from the original Ziggo stack into the Vodafone stack. My role involved troubleshooting complex PySpark data pipelines and ensuring the analytics platform performed efficiently.
