I had been using Linux since 1996 while still at school and continued to develop my skills through college and university where I completed a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science. At university I started improving my software development skills. My career started as a Unix sysadmin and gradually got more involved with DevOps and software development. Throughout my career I've worked with various languages and frameworks. My web development journey started with PHP and my mobile journey started with Objective-C for iOS then Swift. Wanting a way to develop cross platform mobile apps I've worked with Xamarin (C#), React Native and most recently Flutter. I've found Flutter to be a good way to develop apps on both iOS and Android and have more recently looked at its support for web and desktop platforms too.
