$400K+ earned on Upwork | 150+ jobs | 90+ five-star reviews | 4,500+ hours I'm Melissa Hong, founder of OMG Code, and I help businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations turn ideas into working technology. My expertise spans Wix Velo, web development, mobile app development, APIs, AI integrations, automations, and custom software solutions. Whether you need to build something from scratch, integrate a third-party service, fix a complicated technical issue, or improve an existing application, I enjoy finding the solution. I'm a Top Rated Plus freelancer with a 100% Job Success Rate, a Wix Community Leader, and a Velo Certified Official Wix Legend Partner. Over the years, I've worked on everything from websites and e-commerce platforms to custom web applications, iOS and Android apps, backend systems, APIs, databases, automations, and AI-powered solutions. What I can help you with: • Wix & Velo development • Custom websites and web applications • iOS & Android mobile apps • API development and third-party integrations • AI integrations and prompt engineering • Backend development and serverless applications • Automations and business workflows • E-commerce and custom functionality • Database and application architecture • Troubleshooting and complex technical problems • Existing application improvements and maintenance One of the things I enjoy most about development is taking an idea that initially seems complicated and breaking it down into something that can actually be built. My path into technology wasn't traditional. I originally pursued medicine before making a career change into software development. That leap eventually led me to freelancing, building OMG Code, and working with clients around the world. I've also had the opportunity to speak for organizations including Wix, Upwork, Women Who Code, and Coding Dojo, and contribute as an instructor and blogger for Udacity. But the part of my career I'm most grateful for is the people I've met along the way. Many of my clients have returned for additional projects, referred me to others, and trusted me with increasingly complex ideas. If you have an idea you'd like to build, a technical problem you need solved, or a project that has become more complicated than expected, let's talk. I'd love to hear what you're working on and help you figure out the best way forward. :)
