Zora K.

I assist authors with all stages of the self-publishing process, including editing, proofreading, formatting for KDP and Ingram Spark, and designing or sourcing book covers. I am a lifelong lover of literature and have been working in the publishing industry since I completed high school in 2010. I worked as the lead editor for the hybrid publishing company Lifestyle Entrepreneurs Press from 2016 - 2022 and am currently contracted by multiple publishing consultants and small publishing companies. I do, however, love working one-on-one with authors and businesspeople through Upwork when my schedule permits! I have over ten years of experience in developmental editing, copy editing, proofreading, freelance writing (articles, blogs, how-to guides, educational curriculum, and product descriptions), book cover design, fact-checking, and formatting books and magazines for various publishing platforms. I have edited fiction novels, memoirs, young adult sci-fi/fantasy novels, creative nonfiction, short stories, children's books, biographies, academic papers, and educational texts. The most common projects I work on are in the personal-development/self-help genres. In 2013, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder, and in 2015, I obtained my Master of Science degree in Applied Psychology from Trinity College Dublin. I have experience in using multiple style guides, including APA and the Chicago Manual of Style, in both book publishing and academic journal writing.
