Creative Senior Software Engineer with 15+ years exp

I’m a software engineer that is most happy when creating simple solutions for complex problems. I have been blessed by having had the opportunity to be a key contributor and leader on a diverse range of interesting projects, learning from incredibly talented teammates along the way. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 with a degree in Computer Engineering (a combination of computer science and electrical engineering). Roughly half of my career I have operated as an independent consultant, while the other half I have been a FTE in startups of various stages (2 acquisitions, others that did not make it). Languages (in order of recently used): - TypeScript/JavaScript (~8 years exp) - Python (~3 years exp) - Ruby (~3 years exp) - C# (~6 years exp) - C/C++ (~3 years exp) Cloud Platforms: - Kubernetes (~1 year exp) - AWS (~6 years exp) - Azure (~3 years exp) - GCP (~2 years exp) Databases: - TimescaleDB/PostgreSQL - Redshift - Snowflake - Redis - MongoDB - DynamoDB Here are some of my roles that I performed as as a FTE (full time engineer): * (current) PopSQL TigerData - worked as a senior software engineer at PopSQL for about 2 years leading various projects on an awesome collaborative DB-client, then we were acquired by TigerData who wanted to integrate our client into their console. I have been at TigerData for almost 2 years now, for the last year I have been leading various AI initiatives within our company: building agents, MCP servers, an MCP proxy gateway, etc * Maven Machines - worked as a senior software engineer at PopSQL for about 1 year, owning several large feature additions to their logistics software (trucking planning, management) * OLO - worked as a senior software engineer for 2 years on their food dispatch+delivery team, leading several initiatives such as delivery batching (which involved a lot of integration work with Lyft) and several large refactors Here are some of my consult projects (aside from the ones associated with my Upwork account): * Revolution Energy Services - 2 years: created their next gen automated fracking system, the low level PLC controls, a .NET server, Typescript/React control webapp, and an ELK (elasticsearch, logstash, kibana) powered analytics engine * Yeti - 2 contracts equaling about 2 years of work: designed and developed WPF apps used for custom laser etching+shipping+packing in the manufacturing plant, then later developing an Azure based pipeline that converted images to laser etching machine code * Hub Parking Technologies - 2 contracts equaling about 2 years of work: developed a number of user-requested features into their next-gen parking systems (payment machines, various sensors) * Bayer - 1 year contracts: developed a number of Typescript/React applications for their Cloud Services team to help manage the hundreds of thousands of AWS resources that they managed * Zenlist - 6 month contract: built a number of features in their ReactNative real estate app * Catholic Match - 3 month contract: building a number of features in the ReactNative dating app
