Sara R.
WordPress & WooCommerce Developer | ex-Automattic | 4,900+ hrs deliver
Nine years in WordPress and WooCommerce, building and fixing client sites, plus nearly four years at Automattic, the company behind the hosted WordPress platform and Tumblr, solving problems at platform scale. 4,900+ hours on Upwork across 9 clients, mostly long-term. Clients usually come to me with one of three problems: - A site someone else built that nobody can now safely touch or update. - A WooCommerce store breaking at checkout, losing orders, or slowing down as the catalogue grows. - A migration or hosting move that has to happen without downtime or lost rankings. New builds too, usually for clients who got burned on the last one. Recent work: - Migrated a live business site off AWS onto shared hosting: PHP 8.1 to 8.3 and a local-to-managed MySQL move, with no downtime. - Fixed an Elementor archive that was ordering posts wrongly, by hooking the query itself and sorting on a custom ACF date field instead of patching around it. - Rebuilt a heavy video hero for load speed and brought a site's contact form consent handling in line with GDPR. How I work: you get a site the next developer can read, a clean update path, and no dependency on me after handover. I also work white label for agencies, under your brand, with no contact with your client unless you want it. Native Italian, fluent English, both written and spoken, useful if you serve both markets.
