I spent over nine years as a Senior Dynamics 365 Architect and Subject Matter Expert at Lockheed Martin where I was responsible for an enterprise Dynamics 365 and Power Platform environment supporting 27 organizations and more than 10,000 users. My role included solution architecture, platform governance, technical reviews, security, integrations, upgrades, incident resolution, vendor coordination, and mentoring technical teams. I also served as the Dynamics architect for a Customer Care Center, taking the solution from discovery through implementation. That platform uses Dynamics CRM for customer case management, integrates with SAP, and includes a portal that allows engineers working on helicopters to create and manage support cases. The architecture combines a Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Azure OpenAI enrichment and embeddings, Azure AI Search, and Copilot Studio. We are creating AI-ready knowledge from resolved cases so seasonal service representatives can find trusted answers, understand previous resolutions, and handle customer inquiries more consistently. HOW I WORK I start by understanding the business process and the reason behind the request. I will tell you when Dynamics can handle something out of the box, when configuration is the right answer, and when custom development is justified. I will also tell you when a proposed approach is likely to create unnecessary cost or maintenance problems. My goal is to leave clients with a solution that works in production, is understandable to their internal team, and can grow without requiring a rebuild every year.
