Duygu I.

Hi, I’m Duygu! A journalist, editor, and content director based in Istanbul, with over 12 years of experience in digital media. I worked for years at HTHayat.com, the lifestyle platform of Turkey’s leading mainstream media outlet Habertürk, where I wrote and edited hundreds of stories covering everything from pop culture and neuroscience to women’s rights and social trends. I love storytelling, but I’m just as drawn to structure, strategy, and asking the right questions. I’ve also worked in the civil society field as a communications coordinator, collaborating with NGOs and grassroots collectives. In some projects, I took on the role of content director, managing small teams, shaping narrative strategies, and running digital campaigns. I know how to move between big-picture thinking and getting the actual work done. For the past couple of years, I’ve also been recording podcasts and voice-over projects with my professional setup. I’ve worked on AI voice training tasks and submitted hundreds of clean recordings from my home studio. Turkish is my native language and writing in Turkish feels as natural to me as speaking. My English is fluent, and I’ve been writing in English for the past five years; mainly blog posts, articles, and SEO-friendly content for international platforms. I care deeply about audience engagement, clarity, and tone. I try to strike a balance between being informative and accessible, making sure readers don’t feel overwhelmed or underestimated. In an era where AI-generated content is flooding the internet, I take pride in being one of the few editors who still value and produce high-quality, organic content that actually connects with people. In short, I’m someone who thinks deeply about content - how it’s written, how it sounds, and how it resonates. I take my work seriously, but I never let it get boring!
