Consultant - Linguistics, Behavioral Science, Human Factors
I am a cognitive scientist with over 7 years of experience conducting research in various domains. My Ph.D. research focuses on language processing, language acquisition, and how people process information. I have a solid background in formal linguistics (syntax, pragmatics, discourse analysis, and more) and am familiar with many NLP tasks. In my research, I use a combination of methods, including behavioral experiments, computational simulations, and linguistic analysis. Following my Ph.D., I have gained extensive experience in behavioral research and human factors through industry work. I have worked as a consultant for manufacturers on product design, risk analysis, and human-product interaction, leveraging my expertise to improve user experience and safety. I am an expert in: - Linguistic Analysis: Whether it's pure theoretical linguistic analysis or computational analysis, I have served as an NLP Consultant for a large fintech company since 2020 and have produced multiple linguistics research papers and conference talks since 2017. - Research Design: From identifying research needs and formulating hypotheses to conducting research through various methods (experiments, literature reviews/meta-analyses, computational models, ethnography, etc.), I excel in collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and writing comprehensive reports. - Human Factors: With a focus on human-product interaction, user experience, and risk analysis, I have consulted for manufacturers to design and enhance products. My work ensures that products meet safety standards, are user-friendly, and effectively address user needs through evidence-based design practices.
