I am a Professional Healthcare and Support worker with a Master of Arts in Psychology. I currently work as a Specialist Mental Health mentor in a Higher Education institution in the UK where I provide wellbeing and study support to students with mental health challenges, neurodiversity (ADHD, autism) and disabilities which impact on their learning. Sessions are tailored to each individual, however each mentor will have their own flavour. In my work, I spend a lot of time working to decrease anxiety and stress and help them notice unhelpful thinking patterns, shifting perspectives increasing wellbeing allowing them to focus and build on their strengths, increasing confidence in their abilities and providing them with a sense of agency.
