Don't you get tired of seeing wrong translations when watching a movie with subs? Or having your bilingual friends tell you that the meaning is a bit off and ultimately leading to a somewhat less than fulfilling experience? I have often experienced this when watching English movies with my Korean friends or with my family. I try not to let it get to me but sometimes just can't help pointing out the error then and there even knowing that doing so could potentially diminish the experience for others. So I decided to take action. My wife and daughter wanted to watch 'Little Women(2019)' so I made the subtitles myself. After watching the movie they told me that it was the first time when they were fully immersed in a movie and felt like they had watched it in Korean! I would like to give that sense of immersion to as many people as possible. Whether in movies or books.
