Brian M.

I’m an experienced copy editor and proofreader with thousands of editing and proofreading jobs under my belt. My primary areas of focus include: • Business Documents – I’m a certified professional project manager (PMP) focused on information technology projects. I’ve written, edited, and proofread thousands of documents encompassing a wide variety of business content including proposals, sales copy, technical artifacts, and project documentation. • Web Content – I’ve written, edited, and proofread hundreds of blog posts, articles, and websites. • Short Fiction – I’ve edited over 30 short stories with word counts ranging from 1,000 to over 20,000. Genres include science fiction, literary, and erotica. In addition, I’ve had two of my own stories published, one in the Christian genre and one in humor/educational. Additional details about me: • I’m comfortable utilizing the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) or any other style guide, public or private, to make your writing perfect. • I have an MBA and a BS. I hold multiple certifications in technology disciplines and a certificate of completion to validate my training in proofreading. • I’m a decorated US Air Force veteran, having served twenty years before retiring from the service with an honorable discharge. I’ve worked for over twenty years in professional business settings since retiring from the Air Force, for a total of over forty years of experience. I'm a grammar nerd and always have been. I have a natural eye for details in written materials. My careful reading style quickly identifies misspellings, grammar faux pas, typographical errors, formatting issues, questionable word choices, and the like. The same goes for issues with character descriptions, story timelines, and other inconsistencies. As an editor, my greatest satisfaction comes from identifying these concerns and devising ways to fix them. Let’s collaborate and make sure your written content is as close to perfect as possible. *** TESTIMONIALS *** "Thanks again for all your help so far. You're an amazing proofreader." “I love it.
