Megan C.

I am a freelance writer and administrative assistant with an extensive background in both editing and admin. My university degree is in English language and literature, with a minor in creative writing and philosophy, which ensures my ability to write convincingly, clearly, and in an engaging manner. I have years of both editing and administrative experience. The skills go hand-in-hand as I have developed a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a constant and heavy workflow. I have years of experience as a virtual assistant. I worked for my university's admissions office where I managed inboxes, scheduling, organization, and communication. I am a dedicated and diligent worker and I pride myself on my organizational skills. I spent three years as an academic journal editor, and one year as a chief editor. My main tasks were to vet papers and decipher which had the best arguments, and work alongside authors to develop and correct the paper from all errors of grammar, syntax, argument, etc. My degree coupled with my experience has allowed me to develop a well-rounded idea on how to alter and improve writing and research. I am very big on communication and setting clear expectations. This will allow me to produce something we are both proud of. I am happy to work with constructive criticism and I always love to hear feedback. I am someone who values timeliness, and I will always work to have things done when they are expected of me.
