Som L.

Korean journalist, ghostwriter, and translator with 10 years on the international desk of a national general daily newspaper. I interview people — from crime-world operators to veteran artists to civic activists — and turn unstructured conversation into a single, resonant narrative written in the subject’s own voice. For three-plus years I have worked daily with columnists across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, translating not only their words but their cultural context into polished, register-appropriate Korean. I combine deep East Asian affairs knowledge and native Korean-language command with a proven ability to capture the story others miss — and to say what subjects could not articulate themselves.
