Christian C.

Complicated subjects do not have to be difficult to read. My specialty is taking savvy, technical concepts and making them accessible to readers who are not already experts in them... without dumbing the subject down. I work primarily in technical writing, article writing, content research, and scientific writing, covering subjects such as computer hardware, consumer electronics, artificial intelligence, aerospace, astronomy, and other areas where understanding the material matters just as much as writing about it. Sometimes that means digging through specifications, benchmarks, and technical documentation. Sometimes it means reading academic papers, fact-checking competing claims, or working directly from Japanese-language sources that may never reach an English-speaking audience. I also work directly with Japanese and English source material, including technical research, localization, and Japanese-to-English and English-to-Japanese translation. The goal is always the same: understand the subject first, then explain it clearly. My work includes technical and scientific explainers, research-heavy articles, long-form features, PC hardware and consumer-tech analysis, Japanese-source research, fact-checking, technical editing, and bilingual content. I also have extensive experience with SEO writing when search optimization is part of the assignment. If your project involves a subject that is difficult to understand, difficult to research, or difficult to explain without oversimplifying it, that is usually where I am most useful.
