English-Spanish Attorney/Translator/Interpreter/Paralegal

Hello, I am a bilingual attorney from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have over 20 years of English language training and certifications, including conference interpretation and legal English training. I received my Law degree from the University of Buenos Aires, and afterwards I specialized in Business Law. I practiced as a bilingual corporate attorney and translator since 2008, providing legal assistance to multinational clients in both English and Spanish (drafting and revising all kinds of written documents -contracts, agreements, proposals, bids, letters, e-mails- in English and in Spanish), and also performing translations, editing, proofreading, and subtitling corporate materials. I recently worked as a junior paralegal for a boutique immigration law firm located in Miami, Florida. During nearly two years there, I gained extensive experience in drafting, proofreading, formatting, organizing, and filing cases before USCIS and EOIR, mostly family-based and humanitarian applications (defensive and affirmative asylum, VAWA, U/T Visas). In another paralegal position, I also worked on proofreading and formatting court and appellate filings for different areas of the law (employment compensation, Family Law, and Civil Litigation, among others), preparing reports, and also organizing case files and documents. I currently work as an independent legal advisor, translator, transcriber, proofreader, and paralegal. My objective is to develop long-term and fruitful relationships with my clients.
