Harmonie H.

My translation studies from English and Chinese into French have allowed me to have a thorough knowledge of those three languages and know the perfect way to translate in every different case. I also was lucky enough to do an internship in London, where I was able to further develop my skills as a translator. Besides the university, I have now gained experience working as a volunteer translator for non-profit organizations, as well as working as a freelancer for more than three years now. I am focusing on making my clients satisfied with professional translations: rather than focusing on a literary translation of the source text, which machine translations would already do, I really try to produce a French text that feels as natural as possible to a French-speaking reader. In addition, I always proofread my work as much as necessary, to ensure that not a single mistake remains. I specialize in legal translation, as I have completed the training required to become a certified translator for the FPS Justice, in Belgium. I also have particular skills in literary and scientific translation, as well as in translation related to international relations. Also, I've been working part-time for the past year creating subtitles for French television in Belgium. I am therefore used to proofreading French texts every day in order to provide the excellent quality required by the country's rules for TV subtitles. I therefore have developed a sense of perfectionism that forces me to check again and again that the text I give back is absolutely ready to be published, while always being as productive as possible. I am more than willing to put all my heart and knowledge into achieving this quality of service if you decide to entrust me with your work. Now that this is all said, I hope you have a wonderful day!
