Hi everyone! My name is Itsuki Yoshida. I am working as a freelance designer/Japanese-English interpreter & translator based in the UK. I have been working as a freelance interpreter/translator since 2017. I am a native Japanese speaker and a fluent English speaker. To prove my English skill, I have obtained an IELTS overall 6.5 scores in 2016, with that score I studied in a master's degree in the UK and graduated in 2017. I can confidently say that I am a flawless Japanese speaker who can express a bit more than ordinarily native Japanese speakers can do, as I have a deep interest and curiosity to the Japanese language. I translate the writings' contexts rather than translating literally as the Japanese language's grammatical structure is more flexible than English, and also some words are used in a different sense from the literal meaning of them. I always enjoy this process to make the translation more accurate. As I usually get one-time projects from clients, I have experienced in diverse subjects. Here are highlights of my experiences: 1. I have worked as a freelance project manager/ Japanese-English translator for RED BEE (at BBC Broadcast Centre) and I always provided an accurate translation & proofreading for their TV programs. I was also in charge of interpreting information from Japanese to English for my colleagues. 2. I have diverse experiences in translation & interpretation from a sales meeting to medical interview as a freelancer. My duty is a translation, proofreading (Email, presentation etc) and interpretation, depending on the clients' requirement I work holistically. *The list of experiences are available on my portfolio. 3. I have worked in two event management companies as a project manager and I was mainly in charge of projects that are related to my language skills. I was also in charge of translation/proofreading of documents that are related to their events, and also, I was in charge of translation from Japanese to English for the web-advertisement and marketing projects. (Banner, SNS, and brochure etc.) I can edit documents on Adobe Photoshop/Illustratior/ Indesign/Premiere and Microsoft Word/Powerpoint/Excel. I'm looking forward to working with you!
