With over 25 years of progressive experience across financial services, microfinance banking, and digital platforms, I bring a strong blend of analytical rigour, policy expertise, and hands-on operational leadership. Most recently, I served as a Trust & Safety Agent – Scam Operations at Upwork (2022–2026), where I investigated and resolved escalated fraud cases, identified emerging scam patterns, and contributed to data-driven improvements in detection workflows. Prior to that, I spent five years as a Talent Sourcer on the same platform, managing end-to-end candidate pipelines and fostering long-term relationships with high-performing freelancers. Before my tenure at Upwork, I held senior leadership roles at Tameer Microfinance Bank, including Head of Risk Policy and Country Head of the Review Credit Committee. In these capacities, I built the bank’s Risk Management Framework from the ground up, conducted portfolio stress tests, monitored Key Risk Indicators, and oversaw credit operations across Pakistan. These roles gave me deep expertise in SBP regulatory compliance, credit risk analysis, and cross-functional stakeholder management. Earlier in my career, I developed a solid technical foundation as a database and software developer, working with Oracle, SQL, and ETL tools — skills that continue to inform my data-driven approach to risk and operations today.
