Hi! My name is Álvaro and I've studied a Translation and Interpreting degree, as well as a master's degree on Audiovisual Translation, from English to Spanish. I'm also a native Spanish and Galician speaker. During the last year, I've worked as an audiovisual translator in one of the most famous mass media companies on the fashion industry, Condé Nast, where I'd translate and subtitle videos for their social media. Additionally, I have a C1 level of English as well as some experience translating and proofreading articles and webpages. Even though my area of expertise is the audiovisual translation, I am looking forward to learn as much as possible about the Translation Area and all of its fields, in order to improve my skills and become a better translator. I've recently started a degree on Performing Arts, where I'm studying the theatre's basics and developing my acting skills. Furthermore, I've taken several dubbing courses in which I've learned how to inflect my voice for varying characters, how to synch, dub and have a perfect diction. At the moment I'm studying a BFA in Musical Theatre in Dublin, where I get to challenge my singing and dancing skillls as well as my acting.
