Jaehyun K.

Hi, Jaehyun Kim here — a translator, writer, language QA specialist, and indie game dev. I help turn awkward translations into natural Korean that real people would actually say. Whether it’s game localization, creative writing, proofreading, or linguistic QA, I pay close attention to tone, context, consistency, and all the tiny details that somehow cause very large problems later. I’m also a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. I may not be able to carry the One Ring for you, but I can carry your English content safely into Korean — preferably with fewer casualties than the Red Wedding. I’m also the kind of person who watches Korean films and dramas on Netflix with English subtitles and occasionally pauses just to think, “Wait, what? That’s not what she said.” AI is getting better, but Korean still gives it a hard time. It will speak politely for three sentences, suddenly switch to casual speech, and then change its tone from warm to cold, angry, or mildly threatening for no apparent reason — leaving me wondering what I did to deserve the attitude. Reliable communication, careful work, and deadlines honored. No dragons required. *My full resume is linked below.
