Hi there! I'm a freelance subtitler and translator. My expertise is subtitling English and German movies and documentaries (especially True Crime). I also work for German public TV (ZDF and arte), which has some of the strictest quality metrics. I deliver SRT files (or SDL) with perfectly spotted/timestamped subtitles. I especially pay attention to: framerate (shorten text to fit the original speech pattern), hard cuts, dense overlapping/hard-to-understand dialogue, color/name allocation (SDH), noise descriptions (SDH & closed-captions) Why hire me instead of AI? Because I can do it faster (and I'm only half joking) Imagine this:*blink* sdsdadsdasdasdasdasdasdas *blink* subtitle gone before you finished reading it. And I get you - nobody cares about that on TikTok - watch it 2 or 3x to be able to read everything - double win. Everything is better than bored-out Zillenials scrolling past cause they be chasing the dopamine. But if you're half-serious about content, if you want people to PAY for your services, you want that *little extra polish* of having it look decent (which DOES surprise the eye when browsing online, I promise). It will take you more time to fix these issues than it costs you to hire me and stop worrying about the result.
