Tien Chih S.

I have extensive experience in localization/transcreation/technical translation for Taiwan Chinese. Many big names such as WordPress.com/Automattic, Huobi, Intel, Basler, and CoinMarketCap.com are among my current and previous clients. I have been working for the world's no.1 brand of tech giants and its vendor as a freelancer editor, participating in the workshop for its annual products release event in the bay area in 2017. Currently, I also work for WordPress.com/Automattic and CoinMarketCap.com, as a language validator and technical translator, ensuring the translation/transcreation of the web, app, help docs and other messages best fit the Taiwan users' culture and customs. I have deep knowledge and experience as an editor in tech media, so I can deal with very hard technical content and try my best to convert it to be easy to read. That's one of my core expertise. I don't do word-by-word translation because it is just as bad as machine translation, makes more confusion than understanding, and will drive your visitors out at first glance. Instead, I will take much time to understand the essence of the service and find out the best way for translation and transcreation to ensure the best mutual understanding, respect for the culture, and nuance of both languages. That's why I proudly got the TOP RATED PLUS badge here at Upwork.com, and all my clients are very satisfied with my work.
