I am an experienced English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher from São Paulo, Brazil. I have worked with different audiences, ranging from young learners and teenagers to university students, and adults in the business world. I also focus in Portuguese teaching, both as L1 and L2. I have taught Portuguese as a mother tongue in regular schools in Brazil for two years (2012 - 2014). In 2015 and 2016 I have had the experience of teaching Portuguese as a Foreign Language abroad as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at the School of Advanced International Studies of the Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC. I hold a Master of Arts from Universidade Federal do ABC (2016), a Bachelor of Arts in Languages and Literature plus a Degree in Education from Universidade de São Paulo (2010) and Universidade Metropolitana de Santos (2013). I have also earned a Graduate degree in Higher Education and Research from Universidade Metropolitana de Santos (2014). Moreover, I carried part of my undergraduate studies in the University of Leeds (UK) as an exchange student (2009). I am a native speaker of Portuguese, I hold two international English language certificates (TOEFL and IELTS) and I speak Spanish at advanced level. In 2016, I was granted a Cambridge CELTA certification in teaching English to speakers of other languages (Pass B). I have working experience both in Brazil and overseas and wide experience in teaching and communication in English, Portuguese and Spanish. I am passionate about media and technology, and I also have broad experience as a translator in the academic field and in market research. Since 2010, I have experience proofreading texts in Portuguese, mainly in the academic field such as thesis and dissertations. I also have experience translating technical texts (i.e. ICT manuals, Marketing Research Verbatins) from English into Portuguese, as well as translating academic abstracts from Portuguese into English. Since 2017, I have been working with Market Research verbatim translation and coding for several translation companies worldwide. I have been trained as a linguist and translator during my academic years at Universidade de São Paulo, specifically in two courses: Introduçãos aos Estudos Tradutológicos and Introdução à Prática de Tradução do Inglês.
