Hello! I am Gabriela, a Brazilian scholar, university professor, and professional translator with over a decade of experience in academic research, higher education, and multilingual language services. My career bridges literary studies and applied language work, allowing me to combine theoretical rigor with practical expertise in translation, editing, and academic writing. I hold a BA, MA, PhD, and Postdoctoral degree in Literary Studies and Languages, and I am currently pursuing advanced training in Psychoanalysis. My academic trajectory includes international research appointments at Louisiana State University (2015) and the University of Florida (2018–2019), experiences that deepened my engagement with comparative literary studies and linguistic-cultural nuance. For the past six years, I have taught Literary Theory, Translation, and Interdisciplinary Studies at university level, while also serving as a scientific reviewer for journals such as Acta Scientiarum and contributing to editorial boards and academic committees. I currently head a university department and lead a research group dedicated to Austrian and Central European literature, psychoanalytic theory, and utopian/dystopian studies.
